Tim Scott is a Social Conservative

Tim believes that strong families are the cornerstone of strong communities. Strong communities of course, translate into strong societies.

Tim has served on the board of directors for both the Palmetto Family Council and the SC Coalition for Healthy Family Formation and supported legislation that protects the traditional family structure. In 1997, while a member of the Charleston County Council, he placed a plaque of the Ten Commandments outside council offices to show his support for the Ten Commandments as a guide for conduct, especially within the county chambers.

As part of the board of directors for Midland Park Ministries, an outreach organization in North Charleston, Tim Scott has helped with countless projects for those that are less fortunate. He also served on the Board of Trustees at Seacoast Church where he is involved in several outreach projects including the Dream Center, which is a free healthcare clinic for the uninsured.

It also prevents throwing an unborn child away as so-called medical waste.

This bill is a step in the right direction to recognize “pre-borned” babies as “human persons” with the same equal protection under the law as borned citizens.

H 3527 Unborn Children’s Monument Commission (click for full text)

Tim supported this bill to erect a monument on the statehouse grounds to remember all the aborted babies in South Carolina. This monument will require private funding.
