As Chairman of Charleston County Council, Tim worked with then, Commerce Secretary Bob Faith, to attract Vought Aircraft and Allenia Aeronautics to South Carolina. Boeing then acquired these companies. This was the first phase of SC becoming an aeronautics hub.
