SC needs a new direction and that direction is FORWARD.
Tim learned very early in life what a “Thriving Economy” is. He was failing most subjects in high school with a dim future to look forward to. He was blessed to meet his mentor, John Moniz of Chick-Fil-A, who took him under his wings and taught him how success was not only getting a job; it was also being able to create jobs. Tim knows that creating jobs is the number one priority here in South Carolina! Simply put, SC needs to get back to work.
Tim’s Solutions for Job Creation
Lower Taxes
The 1st Congressional District of SC is rich with bright minds, natural resources and great business opportunities. During his first year in the South Carolina legislature, Tim supported TRAC (tax realignment commission) to eliminate the corporate tax and reduce personal income taxes. Higher taxes reduce personal liberties and prevent the “entrepreneurial spirit.” Tim will take this same mentality to the US House of Representatives to make sure his fellow citizens of the 1st district have the lowest taxes possible to empower them to create private market based solutions in a struggling economy.
Red Tape Elimination
During his first year in the South Carolina legislature, Tim also supported legislation to eliminate the bureaucracy in small business development. Small businesses are the major employers in our state and they must operate in an environment that is conducive to entrepreneurs. Tim will work in Washington to make sure the small businesses of the 1st district are able to thrive.
Education Designed for Future Employment
Tim believes in an educational system that adequately prepares the citizens of our district for the jobs of the future. There is much work to be done to reduce the high school drop out rate in the entire state. Tim is ready with ideas to bring changes.
