In every organization or movement there is always the severe fringe element of Racism. However that doesn't make the organization or movement racist. For the NAACP to call for purging the Tea Party of the racist element is like calling for the NAACP to purge their ranks of Racists. It can't be done! A better direction for the NAACP to take would be to join with the Tea Party to elect the best candidates to Congress and get rid of these people who hardly even pretend to represent us. If we keep playing the Racist card, it will never go away. Be responsible!!

If the NAACP wants to "speak up and say something" why aren't they making the talk show rounds condemning the New Black Panthers and writing resolutions as to them being a hate/racist group? This is a joke. They are trying to cover their back-sides on this. They said what they said and did what they did and all the spin in the world can't change their remarks or actions. And of all the groups the NAACP trying (erroneously) to call another organization racist, well if that isn't hypocritical then nothing is. I'm sure the Democrats, the media will give them cover and excuses on this too.

He mentions death threats. So am I to assume that those emails were signed, "Joe Public, representative of the Tea Party"? Since he clearly associates the Tea Party with said emails.

Of course assuming they even exist. Yes there is racism out there. Yes some racists identify themselves as being a part of the Tea Party. That does not mean the Tea Party embraces them or acknowledges them. I was at 9/12 with who knows how many hundreds of thousands of like minded people. I didn't see a single sign that stated hatred of Obama because of his race. Disgust at his policies and beliefs? Yes. Race. No.
