Horry County Councilman Gary Loftus and Georgetown County Councilman Glen O’Connell announced Tuesday that they are joining thousands of tax payers and conservative Republicans across the 1st Congressional District in supporting Tim Scott for Congress.
“I appreciate Tim’s service to his community on both the local and the state level and his continuing fight to protect the tax payer,” O’Connell said. “Now more than ever we need someone in Washington who understands that the worse thing you can do in a bad economy is raise taxes on our neighbors. Tim understands that and I am proud to support him.”
“I support Tim Scott for Congress,” said Gary Loftus.
“Having the support of such well-respected councilmen means a lot to me,” said Scott. “Glen, Gary and I share the same philosophy of limited government and low taxes and I am honored to have them on our team.”
